Welcome to this little corner of Loveleaf Co. where every last Thursday of the month, I post ten of my favorite finds, meals, memories, and everything in between from the past 30 days. ✌🏼
This month was busy, pandemic considering. Josh and I are moving! We celebrated (with a very, very small) Thanksgiving at Josh’s mom’s house in upstate New York before heading down to Long Island to stay with my parents until we can move into our new house in Sag Harbor, New York. For Thanksgiving, I made this gluten-free, dairy-free pumpkin pie and it didn’t disappoint!

There are lots of new recipes on the site this month. From this Thanksgiving kale salad (my favorite salad for any time this season, Thanksgiving and beyond) to these pecan pie bars (GF/Vegan), to this chicken pot “pie” with cauliflower mash to these gluten-free rosemary cornbread muffins.
Speaking of recipes, there’s a free festive holiday meal plan for you! The 3-Day Holiday Pretox is three full days of healthy, delicious recipes so you can feel your best this season. It includes an organized grocery list, prep instructions, and easy recipes. You can download the 3-Day Holiday Pretox here.
I had a few appointments this month in Manhattan (I lived in Brooklyn before moving at the end of the month) and it was my first time there since March because of the pandemic. It was refreshing and odd to be back, to say the least. I stopped at the cutest health food store that I’ve been wanting to try, Bonberi Mart – highly recommend!
The plant van! Josh and I packed all our stuff into a POD, but we didn’t want our plants to die in storage so we rented a van for a day to bring our plants to my parents’ house for the time being. Fingers crossed they survive the move (I don’t have a good track record when it comes to plant care).
At this point, it’s a full-on obsession. This month, I’ve used Stasher Bags for everything from freezing bananas (for quick and easy weekday smoothies) to packing my shampoo and conditioner for the move (totally leakproof!). They are dishwasher-safe, non-toxic, and one of my favorite sustainable kitchen organizing products… ever.
The Loveleaf Co. healthy holiday gift guide, 2020 edition, is here! My top healthy gift ideas for any wellness lover in your life (even if that’s you), most of which I use and love and a few that are on my wishlist ;)). Get the full gift guide here.
Our restaurant visits are few and far between these days, but before leaving Brooklyn for awhile (post-pandemic, we’ll split our time between Brooklyn and Sag Harbor), we got drinks and oysters at one of our favorite neighborhood bars, Achilles Heel (…outside of course ;)).
I’ve been having serious green juice cravings recently and this immune-boosting green juice recipe and method is my go-to lately. Instead of using a juicer, which I don’t own, I just use a blender and then strain the mixture through a nut milk bag, and voilà! Juice. Learn how to make blender green juice here.
Speaking of drinks, here’s my go-to plant-based milk: 1-minute hemp milk! Use it wherever you’d use milk – oatmeal, smoothies, cereal, etc. Get the recipe in the caption of this Instagram post.
Until next month! xx
