Welcome to this little corner of Loveleaf Co. where every last Thursday of the month, I post ten of my favorite finds, meals, memories, and everything in between from the past 30 days. βπΌ
Josh and I began the month visiting his family upstate New York and any change of scenery these days is just ππΌ. His mom made her (now-famous) gluten-free sourdough bread – and there was hiking and red wine involved so needless to say it was a good trip.

There’s a new series on Loveleaf Co: The Weekly Meal Plan! Every Friday (thanks to your feedback), I post my personal meal plan for the week ahead (the 3-4 recipes I plan to make) to (hopefully!) give you some ideas for planning and simple prep. This week’s meal plan included a rosemary variation of my favorite gluten-free cornbread muffins, pictured above!
It’s pumpkin season! This month, there are THREE brand new (healthy) pumpkin breakfast recipes on the site. In no particular order:
Enjoy!
I was honored to be included in one of my favorite online publications, Sistain, this month where I’m sharing 5 Tips to Declutter Your Kitchen. Fun fact: the design team behind Sistain designed the Loveleaf Co. Spice and Pantry Labels! I love their site for practical, sustainable solutions for everyday life.
With the upcoming election, my “doomscrolling” (as I’ve learned it’s called) on TWITTER (of all places) was getting out of hand. So instead of reading election news on my phone before bed and right when I wake up, I started meditating for 5 minutes in the morning (very much a work in progress) and reading (a real book!) for 15 minutes at night. I can’t say it’s completely erased my election anxiety, but I swear I’ve been sleeping better. You can join the challenge here!
Josh and I went out to a restaurant for the third time since the pandemic began in March (…how has it been that long?!) and WOW it’s nice to eat somewhere other than my apartment for a change. This time, we tried Rule of Thirds in our neighborhood (the outdoor seating is ππΌ) and… I never wanted to leave.
Because itβs October, I decided to try my go-to anything curry recipe with β you guessed it β canned pumpkin. And I have to say this pumpkin chickpea curry might be one of my favorite versions to date. Itβs creamy (but dairy-free!), full of fiber (pumpkin! chickpeas!), and takes under 20 minutes to make. Get the recipe here.
I’m pretty far from a fashion or beauty blogger but I am all about simple, non-toxic products… and comfort. So here are two things I discovered this month that I’m loving:
- This Ilia Multi-Stick – a non-toxic blush/lipstick that I’m now obsessed with. I have it in the “All of Me” color.
- These Madewell Jeans – I feel more productive when I wear real clothes during the workday and these are the most comfortable jeans I’ve ever owned. Now… what to do with the pants that aren’t as comfortable (once I find a favorite, it’s game over for the rest of my closet).
Have you watched The Vow yet?! If you’re into documentary thrillers this one is for you – it’s about NXIVM, the “self-development” cult that had some… secrets. I got so into it that I also started the spin-off Seduced: Inside the NXIVM Cult, which I’m enjoying just as much.
I have no idea if people are celebrating Halloween this year (y/n?) but my plan is to stay home, have these pumpkin truffles + wine for dinner, and stress out about the election. Click here for the recipe if you want to join. π
Until next month! xx
