How Did You Start the Blissful Mind? What’s Your Story?
I started blogging in 2014 while I was working at a 9-5 job that I didn’t love. I’d always wanted to be a writer, and I found that blogging was the perfect creative outlet for me. A few years later (while still blogging and working full-time), I randomly came across a grad school program for Health & Wellness Coaching.
I’d never thought about being a coach, but something inside of me told me that it was something I should pursue. After two years of learning the ins and outs of coaching, I left behind my 9-5 job to pursue coaching and blogging full-time.
Describe a Typical Day
I usually get out of bed around 8 am (trying to get up earlier!), make a cup of green tea, and then write in my journal for a few minutes. Lately, I’ve been writing down goals, affirmations, gratitude, and any random thoughts that are on my mind. After that, I’ll eat breakfast and get dressed.
For the rest of the day, I’m usually creating content for the blog, developing new programs or products, or working with clients. At some point during the day, I’ll go to the gym or run outside for about half an hour. I also coach a high school dance team, so some days I’m at practice in the afternoon. Around 5:30 I’ll eat dinner then go for a walk. In the evening, I’m either working, watching Netflix, or taking a bath.
What Is Something You Do Every Day to Feel Your Best?
I try to take a walk every day, either after lunch or dinner, because it helps to clear my mind and gives me a moment of calm away from my laptop.
What’s Your Biggest Tip for Self-Care?
One of the biggest things that helped me with self-care was to realize that it’s more about calling yourself out on your bad habits than it is about bubble baths and face masks. If I can recognize when I’m slipping into a bad habit (like scrolling through my phone first thing in the morning) and work on ways to change that habit, I’ll be able to take better care of myself.

What Is One Thing You Do That Simplifies Your Life and Allows You To Live More Intentionally?
I try to plan ahead as much as possible, whether that’s my to-do list, meals, or outfits for the week. That way, I don’t waste time trying to make decisions that take away from the things that matter.
What Are Your Top Tips For Eating Healthfully, Especially When You’re Busy?
Meal prepping has been a huge time and money saver for me! It eliminates the “What should I have for dinner?” question and makes my life so much easier, especially after a long day when I don’t feel like cooking.

What Are Three Tips You Can Give People During Times of Stress?
- Make a brain dump list of everything that’s taking up space in your mind and eliminate anything that doesn’t need to be there.
- Ask for help! You don’t have to deal with everything by yourself.
- Schedule time in your schedule for yourself to get away from your to-do list.
What Are Three Tips You Can Give to People Experiencing Burnout?
- Don’t be ashamed or afraid of taking a break. Often we need to get far away from the thing that’s causing us burnout in order to get aligned again.
- Make sure you’re setting boundaries around your time and energy so people aren’t taking advantage of you.
- Simplify your workload. Stick to three top priorities for the day and focus solely on those things.
