May 19, 2019 / Hemp Seed Ranch Dressing, Toasted Coconut Milk, Using Less Plastic
MAKE △ These bbq tempeh veggie bowls with one of my favorite dressings: hemp seed ranch. Hemp seeds are high in GLA, an essential omega-6 fatty acid that can help naturally balance hormones.
EXPLORE △ Loving this bulk bin finder tool from the blog Zero Waste Home. It allows you to search stores that have bulk bins in your area so you can cut down on packaging.
DRINK △ This DIY toasted coconut milk via one of my favorite recipe sites, 101 Cookbooks. This coconut milk + cold brew coffee = heaven.
COMPOST △ This week, I learned that food waste that gets thrown into the normal garbage (and then landfill) can take up to 25 years to decompose (!), producing methane, a potent greenhouse gas. What can help? Composting! I like this countertop compost bin.
TRY △ Our brand new Loveleaf Co. tea blends. Through 5/31 get a FREE mini pack of our new Cleanse tea (turmeric-ginger!) when you purchase the Loveleaf Co. Spring Cleanse.
May 12, 2019 / 🌿 Air-Purifying Plants, Mother's Day Breakfast, Harissa Recipes
EAT △ Produce that's in season. Good for you, good for the planet. Here's a simple graphic of some produce that's in season for May. (Also: farmers' market season starts today in NYC!)
CELEBRATE △ Mother's Day with a special breakfast. Like healthy waffles. Or these easy (almost) 2-ingredient banana pancakes (one of my all-time favorites).
GIFT △ Speaking of Mother's Day... if you're in need of a last-minute gift (and have a wine-loving Mom 🏼♀️), this wine tumbler is always a hit.
TRY △ My favorite harissa paste. And then make these (meal-preppable!) Moroccan harissa chicken bowls or this sheet pan harissa chicken with chickpeas.
PLANT △ A houseplant that actually purifies the air of toxic chemicals. My husband and I are plant shopping this weekend and using this air-filtering houseplant graphic as a guide.

MAKE △ One of my favorite prep-ahead salads: this broccoli detox salad with (dairy-free!) pesto. Make a big batch today and enjoy all week.
LEARN △ All about the anti-inflammatory diet and lifestyle (new post on LL!). Because inflammation is the root cause of SO many health issues (autoimmune disease, arthritis, skin issues, allergies... the list goes on). Learn how to reduce inflammation naturally here.
READ △ Ok, not food related (for once) but this book, Tiny Beautiful Things by Cheryl Strayed, is one of the best books I've read in a while (warning: you might cry... a lot).
EAT △ Kelp! A seaweed that's good for you (full of iron, potassium, calcium, fiber, iodine, and other vitamins) and environmentally sustainable. Loved this fascinating article about the kelp industry. Scroll to the bottom to see where you can buy it frozen or get it here.
CELEBRATE △ Happy Cinco de Mayo! Celebrate with these tacos and these kombucha margs or check out this Pinterest board for healthy inspiration.

MAKE △ One of my favorite weeknight recipes: these plant-based tacos with chipotle tahini crema (hint: they pair well with kombucha margs ;)
WEAR △ Non-toxic sunscreen. Because: warmer weather! Your skin is your body's largest organ, absorbing about 65% of what you put on it - weird chemicals included. I've been using this face sunscreen for years and swear by it.
TRY △ The (brand new!) Loveleaf Co. Spring Cleanse! A 14-day seasonal meal plan, designed to cut through all the chatter and clutter around food so you can feel light and clear this season. Simply and efficiently. With recipes that are actually good (… and good for you). Get all the details here.
April 21, 2019 / Beet-Dyed Eggs, Travel Yoga, a Smoothie Trick
MAKE △ These bánh mì inspired bowls with zucchini noodles that I posted this week. A meal-prep recipe that uses my favorite weekly staples: baked turkey zucchini meatballs and this dairy-free pesto.

EAT △ Oysters (...and lots of fruits and vegetables) like your mood depends on it. Loved this article about how food can affect how we feel.
April 7, 2019 / Feng Shui, Kombucha Margs, Healthy-ish Game Day Favorites
MAKE△ These (5-min!) banana cream pie chia puddings. Layered with coconut yogurt, caramelized bananas, and toasted coconut flakes for a simple, make-ahead breakfast.
TRY △ Feng shui-ing your home for spring. I’m trying to keep (some of) these ideas in mind this weekend as I unpack from my Maine > Brooklyn move. I love the tip about not keeping things under the bed.
DRINK △ Sunshine citrus kombucha margaritas. Because warmer weather is (finally) here. Full of vitamin C, anti-inflammatory turmeric, and probiotics - which kind of cancels out the tequila, right? ;)
DOWNLOAD △ And print this simple weekly meal planner and shopping list. So you can go to the grocery store with a plan instead of wandering the aisles.
WATCH △ The NCAA championship. Yes? Make one of these healthy-ish game-day favorites. Not watching? This barbecue chickpea socca pizza is one of my favorites, game day or not.
March 31, 2019 / My Favorite Underrated Superfood, Using Less Plastic

READ△ This short article about Trader Joe's (finally) planning to cut 1 million pounds of single-use plastic from it's stores. If you already bring your own grocery tote, go a step further by ditching the plastic produce bags and trying something like these washable cotton bags instead.
TRY △ Eating beets once this week. Because I think they're the world's most underrated superfood - extremely cleansing for the liver, which is responsible for over 500 functions in the body (!). Blend up this blueberry and beet smoothie or add a cooked beet to hummus like I did here. You can buy pre-cooked beets to save time or cook them with my favorite Instant Pot method.
CLEAN △ Your teeth with my favorite toothpaste ever. I’m always on the hunt for the best natural products that actually work... and it takes me a while to find The One. This JASON Powersmile toothpaste is the best I've found and has a "1" score (for cleanest ingredients) on the EWG Skin Deep Database.

READ △ This short article from the New York Times which finally answers the question "Are 'Natural Flavors' Really Natural?" What to know: though "natural flavors" must be derived from plant or animals, there is no restriction on the use of preservatives and solvents in those so-called natural flavors. (Rethinking my love for flavored seltzer...)
MAKE △ These easy salmon poke bowls that I posted last week. Don't like salmon? Any sushi-grade fish, shrimp, tofu, or chicken will work well too.

DO △ A simple challenge for you this week: chew your food for at least 30 times per bite. So all those good nutrients can make it into your cells. Just one of my six tips to improve your digestion naturally.
TRY △ The matcha collagen latte from the Loveleaf Co. Winter Cleanse. Here's how to make it: to a blender, add 1 cup unsweetened non-dairy milk, 1/2 teaspoon matcha powder (I use this brand), 1 tablespoon collagen peptides (I like this oneand this one), 1-2 pitted Medjool dates (omit if you prefer unsweetened). Blend until smooth and creamy. Heat blended mixture to desired temperature and enjoy!
