Description

Sunshine citrus kombucha margaritas! A healthier take on traditional margaritas, made with fresh orange juice, lime juice, kombucha, and garnished with chili salt.


Ingredients

Chili Salt

  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons salt

Margaritas

  • 3 oz 100% agave tequila
  • 2 oz triple sec, like Cointreau
  • 1 orange, juiced
  • 2 limes, juiced
  • 6 oz kombucha
  • pinch of ground turmeric, optional
  • mint leaves, for garnish, optional

Instructions

  1. Mix the chili powder and salt on a small plate. Run a lime wedge along the rim of the glass; dip the rim in the chili powder salt and twist to coat.
  2. Shake all the ingredients except the kombucha and the mint with ice in a cocktail shaker until the exterior frosts.
  3. Fill two cocktail glasses with ice. Strain the mixture into each glass, filling about 3/4 of the way full. Top off each glass with kombucha. Garnish with mint, if desired.
